HELLO I AM BACK!!!!

Just a quick photo post before I go and pack my luggage! Leaving for Phuket in less than 5hrs time and I've not packed anything yet! Been so busy with weisburg.lj the whole morning! Trying to settle everything before I leave so that I will not find myself facing loads of unsent emails.

Anyway, met up with Val and Bea last Tues!! It's been sooooooooo long since we've seen Val as finally she's back from Melbourne! :D :D Went to KPO for some chilling session, and here are the photos! :D









Also, attended Yalin's UOL Pageant last Thursday and I'm so happy for her cos she got 3rd among all the other contestants. It's not a big win, but at least she was in the final 3! Stayed awhile at the club with the girls and went off for Bak Kut Teh at Mohd Sultan. Not very nice though. I still prefer the one at Havelock.

On Sat it was Vince's 88.3FM Campus Host Competition! He got 2nd among all the other schools and I honestly thought he was better than the girl who won. But ohwells, it's over, and it's still a win! :)

Okay, I have to go now. I haven't even done any housework today! BUT, I'm totally EGGCITED for our trip to Phuket! YAY!!! :D

Vanessa's 22nd was full of awesome food, people and fun!! It was held at her place and it was just a 5mins walk away from mine! So imagine how happy I am to be attending a birthday party that's so near my place. :P

Her mum's an awesome cook! She basically cooked everything that there was on that day and also her birthday cake which was just yummilicious! Stayed till quite late for some games and horrible drinks. Seriously it was that bad. They mixed every drink that there was and you have to drink it as your forfeit.

Anyway, let's just let the photos do the talking eh! :D

Today I made snickerdoodles! They don't look as pretty as they should be( I don't know why ), but they are delicious!

Got this recipe from Smitten Kitchen and they are absolutely yummilicious. They are crispy on the edges and soft on the centre with a hint of cinnamon sugar. Smitten Kitchen ones look so pretty, so I'm going to strive harder to make mine as pretty! I'm going to attempt to make homemade oreos again after my disaster one year ago.

Cooked dinner for my family today too. Made Sherpherd's Pie and some french bean dish that my mum told me to cook over the phone. Everything turned out great and I'm really so motivated to cook more. Hehehee.

Went for Vanessa's 22nd birthday party yesterday and it was so much fun. Will upload the photos soon!!!!!!!

I'm having the nail polish craze all over again. The last time I had that, I bought a whole lot of french manicure colors so that I can paint my nails myself. This time I'm looking at RED and other shimmery colors. So in the end, I bought quite a few tiny OPIs. Now I have red nails and dark purple toenails. My mum says that my red nails look like some vengeance ghost though. ): But I think it's so pretty and classy! heheheh! I'm waiting for my light champagne gold to arrive.

Watched Paranormal Activity today! It was kinda slow, but scary!! I didn't watch the last part though, cos I know the distorted face is going to stay inside my head for quite sometime. But the most irritating thing is that the malay guy at the back kept putting his foot in between my arm rest! So irritating! & they kept talking.

Holidays have been pretty good. I want to go on a Nature Walk soon. & many many other things that I want to do. I'm so glad that I'm not working as a temp this holiday again!

& so my Saturday was spent celebrating Yalin's 21st at Jarrold's place! Jarrold's place is sooooo nice and it feels more like a resort than a house.

So anyway, went over early to help out with the decorations and after that, it was the party! Let's just let the visuals do the talking eh? I'm too tired now to elaborate further. :D Don't have much photos though. Cos I was kinda lazy the whole night to take photos.

Velvet!!! She is SO CUTE!!!!!!! I am afraid of dogs after a bad experience when I was little, but this little puppy here makes me think that I might not be so afraid of them afterall! BUT this only applies to quiet dogs who doesn't go around licking and jumping on people. I miss playing with her now. hahaha!

Really glad that Yalin enjoyed her birthday so much! It feels like we're back to where we are when we were in poly year 1, and that seems so long ago! So happy that we still keep in contact after so long! Here's to many many more years of friendship! Will be rooting for you for SIM-UOL Pageant Queen!!! :D

On a side note, holidays officially started today!! I'm kinda happy cos I don't have to worry about projects or exams for at least a month! Results will only come then, so when it's nearing, then I'll panic. hahaha! I'm working for the Morgan Stanley summit again next week, and I'm feeling a little sian about it. I have to report to work at an ungodly time of 7am! & I have to work till as late as 9pm. ): But I'm telling myself that it's just for 4 days and it will whizz past very fast. & I'm looking forward to the food that I can eat there! Fresh mangos at any time I want; delectable pastries and savouries. Yums. Maybe I can even sneak in a short nap when I'm not needed! hahaha! But basically my job there is to do nothing but to open and close doors for the seminars and eat the food they provide. What more can I ask for? :P

Oh and I just watched My Sister's Keeper on my pc just now and I'm sooooo disappointed that they changed the ending! It's the ending that made the whole story so sad. ): Sigh! I'm contemplating whether to buy more Jodi Picoult's books to read cos her books are actually quite draggy, but with really good storylines. Maybe I should just read Audrey Niffenegger new novel instead. Hm.

Weeks of planning, but with still a lot of last minute work. I'm so happy that everything went accordingly as planned! Bea's 21st surprise party went well!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!

Went for Siying's 21st about a month back! It was over at her place and ohgod, the catered food was sooo good and the cake was so pretty!! Didn't get to taste the cake though, cos I had to rush down to Elisa's birthday next! That's the thing about 21st birthday parties! Especially this year cos it always clashes! ):

So anyway, alot of council people were there and I went there with dear Shannen! It had the 80's Hairdo Theme, but I didn't dress up cos I couldn't find anything to fit the theme!! ): But it was so funny to see people dressing up, especially Hui Ning with the wiggy! & the pink wiggy that Siying put on the reception area was so fun too! :) Everybody was so retro except me! ):

But it IS very comfortable. haha!

 It's been a really long time since I've baked something, and I'm feeling the itch to make something from scratch again. (I've been surfing Martha Stewart.com). Maybe it's time I put my limited baking skills to test again. I want to make cookies and cookies and more cookies! Plus this carrot cake and Dolly Madison cake which I've been craving for a long long time. :)

Anyways, I was the photographer for the SIM-RMIT Bash last Sat together with Guo Feng. My first time shooting for an event, and I don't think I did a very good job. ): But ohwells, at least some of the photos turned out okay - hopefully. Hahaa! Will post the photos up once I get the other photos from the pro. :)

I'm so tired! It's only midday and I'm feeling tired already. I need to feel awake more often man! ): Was doing up the outerwear pre-order page for

, and I got so sian that I think I'm going to push the spree date to a later date. I'm so lazy!!

Anyway, was working for Sotheby's for the past weekend. Got my friends to work, and I'm so grateful that they are able to. :) Thanks Eileen, Lavonne, Yuting, Xiaojun, Vincent, Gabriel, Spencer and Murali! It's been fun working with so many friends for the first time! haha!

Saw Qi Yi Wu, and omgg, he's damn good looking please! && he talked to and smiled at me!!! That's like the best part of this job! HAHAHAHA! This is my 2nd time seeing him during Sotheby's exhibitions, and my first time talking to a real life celebrity! LOL! My sister didn't even get the chance to talk to him k! & she was doing what I was doing during the weekend for the past 2 years! hehehehe.

Alrights, I have to start on my ethics essay now! It's due this Friday and I've yet to start! & I'm going to go run again this evening! New goal so I better achieve it! Lavonne: You go and run too!!!! :)

As you all know, I went to Lady Gaga's concert last month and it was so so awesome! & today, I decided to look through my photos that I took during the concert, and you know what? Some turned out not bad! Only that my gaga was a teeny little gaga that I had to crop out of the super large photos, but still is a teeny little gaga in the photos. ):

So anyway, I met my sister at about 6pm that day to go and queue for the concert. I knew there would be a lot of people queuing already, and indeed, there was.




Finally finally got in cos the ticket person told us that there was another shorter queue at the other side and I practically ran there so that I could at least be in the middle or near the front, at least. haha! So we got in and waited and waited for Lady Gaga to appear. Food there was really expensive. & I saw the real Botak Jones! HAHA!









Look at my sweat covered hair! & I wore Bea's Bonito DKNY inspired dress and totally regretted cos the fabric was sticking to my body. ):

So we waited and waited for hours and FINALLY SHE APPEARED!


















As you can see, my Lady Gaga photos are really teeny little gaga. ): But ohwells, at least I had the experience of her concert! It was just simply awesome. Till now, when I think back to the concert, I would think of how great it was. So happy that I went! & I wanna go again! hehehe!

Next, next, next, went to Sushi Tei's anniversary charity menu dinner a few weeks back with Bea! So kind of bea to ask me to go and be the 'photographer' for the food. Haha! I'm so lousy at taking photos of the food. But everything was just so delicious, especially the Tutti-fruitti which had avacado, mango, strawberry wrapped up in a sushi and was surprisingly, really good! I'm sure you have read Bea's review on it. :)

I can't remember the names, but I'm still going to post the photos of the yummy food anyway. Looking at them now makes me so hungry! :P

Oh, and I had Hi-Tea buffet with my relatives today at Marriott! It was good, but the dinner is better. & I really want to try the Goodwood Park Hi-Tea dessert buffet. Trish and Bea, let's go for it someday soon!!!! hehee.

Really tired now. & I have finance class tmr, after which, I have to make my way down to my auntie's place for the 7th month thingy. I'm there just to eat. & there's events internal gathering at Sentosa this Sunday with all the sun(I'm going to slather myself with sunblock). I cannot wait for Monday where I can just rest at home after lecture. Godd, the thought of having the weekends being packed like that makes me really tired right now.

I think I'm going to go sleep. Plus, my shoulder muscles are aching from lugging my heavy bag around all day.

A quick update before I go and meet Eileen for UP at Tampines Mall! Been wanting to update, but have been kinda busy and lazy lately. hehe.

Anyway, meet up with the Event01 peeps for lunch at Tampines1 some time back! Dined at F.I.S.H where the salad bar was excellent with mediocre mains. But it was overall, nice la. :)

I came back home and realised that we didn't take much photos, and that there weren't ANY photos of me, as usual. haha!









 

I forgot the names of the dishes, but the salad bar was just awesome. love it! & that's Shannen taking some salad from the bar. It costs $8.90++ for an add-on to your mains, otherwise, it's $11.90++ just for the salad, I think. Can't really remember.

Anyway, I'm so bad at taking pictures of food that I really need to brush up on my skills. Ohwells. I have to go now before I'm late. bye!
